Piperlime.com, is my (Morgan’s) favorite online retailer. I purchased my first item from Piperlime.com my sophomore year in high school and the website has only gotten better in the years since. Since I can’t purchase anything, I created a round-up of my favorite items for you to enjoy! Friday’s Featured Favorites 10.5.12

1. These pants from Zara rock. Morgan has a huge thing for pants (Charlotte is more into dresses and skirts) and absolutely loves all the printed skinnies that are out there right now.

2. Don’t let anything keep you down, but instead know that you are strong enough to overcome anything that comes your way. No person, job, or experience should ever stop you from being the person that you want to be.

3. UGallery is selling this piece titled Elated by Christine Soccio and I absolutely love it. The movement and the bright colors are absolutely stunning.

The Polka Dot Pant

1. A&F Super Skinny Ankle Crop Jeans – $55   2. Paige Verdugo Ultra Skinny Denim – $189   3. AG Polka Dot Ankle Stevie – $112   4. Current/Elliott Stiletto Skinny Jeans in Polka Dot – $166   5. J. Crew. Cafe Polka Dot Stretch Pant – $120

When Morgan and Charlotte were in Paris last summer, the number one trend they noticed was colored skinny jeans. Soon after Europe they took off in the United States as well, and have stuck around for quite some time. The most recent update to this trend is adding a polka print, as seen above with our top five favorites from retailers across the board.

However, we realize it can be tricky to style this whimsical, cute-sy piece while maintaining a sense of sophistication. Here are our top tips on styling suggestions for a daytime look, an evening look, and an office look.

1. People Tree Nicola Silk Floral Blouse – $130   2. Current/Elliott Stiletto Skinny Jeans in Polka Dot – $166   3. Frye Jackie Button Short Boot – $288

For a daytime look, utilize another current trend, which is print-blocking, or mix and matching different prints. The key to this trend is juxtaposition. Mix two different print sizes – the larger floral with the smaller dots. Also, be sure that there is a color contrast. The top is lighter based whereas the pants are a brighter, darker color. Breaking up color and size of the different prints and creating contrast is the key to success in this look – nobody wants to be a monochromatic mismatching mess of print!

1. Topshop Sleeveless Peplum Top – $36    2. Paige Verdugo Ultra Skinny Denim – $189   3. Debenhams Trendy Gold Stick Allway Necklace – $13   4. John Lewis Bertie Hathaway Leather T-Bar Sandals – $120

Whether it is for date night or an evening out with the girls, this ensemble has you covered. Jewelry and other gold accessories give the outfit a little extra something, though be careful not to over-do it. We love how the hang of the necklace and the peplum flow so well together.

1. T by Alexander Wang Long Sleeve Silk Blouse – $130   2. J. Crew. Cafe Polka Dot Stretch Pant – $120   3. Belt Me Red Studded Skinny Belt – $7   4. KORS Michael Kors Galli Suede Mary Jane Pump – $195

A silk blouse is a great staple to have in any wardrobe – you could pretty much pair anything with it and still you would not end up on the DO NOT segment of our Wednesday Wisdom. This choice dresses up the polka dot pant nicely to be office-appropriate, while pops of red keep it fashion-forward and chic.
